FBF Trustee awarded OBE

During her 24-year career, Audrey has held a number of high profile positions and is currently the deputy chief executive and director of policy at Energy UK, the main trade association for suppliers and generators.

Previous roles have included head of consumer affairs in Scotland at energy regulator Ofgem, national director in Scotland for the statutory consumer representative Energywatch and more recently director of energy at Consumer Futures and Citizens Advice.

In addition to being a trustee of Fuel Bank Foundation, Audrey is also a member of the Scottish Fuel Poverty Advisory Panel.

Matthew Cole, Fuel Bank Foundation chair of trustees, said Audrey’s OBE in recognition of her work in the energy sector was absolutely deserved.

“All the way through her career, Audrey has been an advocate for consumer rights and a champion for driving up standards that customers should rightfully expect from the energy sector,” he said.

“She was the obvious choice to become a trustee when we moved to become a charity, very passionate, always on target to achieve our vision, whilst really caring about the people behind the scenes, including the people we helped, our network partners, and people who work at the Foundation.

“On behalf of Fuel Bank Foundation, I would like to congratulate Audrey on this fantastic achievement.”
